About the role

TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel Audiologist for a travel job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluation: Independently assesses hearing and/or vestibular function through the use of diagnostic tests and other appropriate procedures, in compliance with guidelines set by the department and regulating agencies.
  • Documentation and Communication: Independently interprets test findings with prompt dissemination of results using professional oral and written communication. Aids physicians and other providers in the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral and central auditory disorders. Counsels patients and families, as well as other professionals, regarding hearing loss and options for (re)habilitation including, but not limited to hearing technology, communication options and educational services through the use of outcomes measures and referrals to appropriate service providers.
  • Transfer of Care: Facilitates transfer of care to a managing audiologist as appropriate. Communicates plan to patients and families. Ensures appropriate scheduling of follow-up visit and communicates with other staff as needed.
  • Administration: Maintains productivity and fiscal responsibility in the utilization/provision of services.
  • Education/Training and Research: Maintains competencies and knowledge of department policies and procedures, with the support of a Clinical Supervisor. Applies research to practice.

Skills

  • At least two (2) years of licensed experience.
  • High level of analytical skill in order to work independently to identify and plan for the resolution of problems encountered in clinical and research duties.
  • High level of skill in various audiological assessment procedures pertaining to the pediatric population.
  • Fundamental research knowledge, including a general understanding of research methodology, design, and statistics.
  • Interpersonal relationship skills to support effective communication with patients and families, as well as other medical professionals.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Audiology.
  • Audiology License (Pennsylvania) via Pennsylvania State Licensing Board upon hire.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) via American Speech-Language-Hearing Association upon hire required OR Board Certification in Audiology via The American Board of Audiology upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through an organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification, such as American Heart Association or Red Cross, upon hire.

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of licensed experience in a pediatric setting.

Pay

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).

Schedule

Shift: 8 hours, days
