Multilingual Coordinator

About the Role

The Multilingual Coordinator supports dual language teaching, learning, and assessments, primarily in literacy and language arts. This role provides district-wide guidance and support for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies in Two-Way Immersion (TWI)/dual language programs and other Spanish-instruction courses. The goal is to advance learning for all students while ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrators, instructional coaches, multilingual educators, bilingual teachers, and other instructional staff in implementing effective dual language programs.
• Provide guidance on curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention strategies for TWI/dual language classrooms and other Spanish-instruction courses.
• Ensure adherence to district, state, and federal requirements for multilingual education.
• Support literacy and language arts instruction in dual language settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education with Bilingual (BIL) and/or English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsements; Master’s or higher preferred.
• Experience in Bilingual/ESL education and working with diverse student populations.
• Professional Educator Certificate with BIL and/or ESL endorsement.
• Native or bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish (preferred).

Schedule

Twelve-month year (July 1 to June 30).
