Multifamily Construction Superintendent - Roofing and Siding

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee exterior construction (e.g., siding, roofing) on multifamily and other commercial building projects from initiation through completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, to specifications, and within budget.
• Conduct project meetings with clients and subcontractors, developing strong rapport with each group.
• Supervise and oversee onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, promptly identify and resolve issues, and enforce safety protocols.
• Coordinate the efforts of subcontractors and labor teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure all roofing work meets industry standards and client specifications.
• Address any quality issues that arise during the roofing process and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, daily logs, and correspondence.
• Prepare and present regular project update reports and status updates to stakeholders and upper management.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations as well as company policies and procedures related to roofing work.
• Promote a culture of safety among all team members and conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

• Six (6+) years of proven experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of roofing systems and exterior construction.
• Proficiency in project management software and familiarity with construction scheduling and budgeting tools.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze complex issues, make decisions under pressure, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and concise communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in project planning, execution, and documentation.
