Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS-Behavior) Staff Developer
Job Description
The ideal candidate will be an MTSS-Behavior Staff Developer at Richard L. Sanders School. This position supports the implementation and improvement of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) within the school.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development and implementation of MTSS strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Collaborates with teachers and other staff to provide professional development on MTSS practices.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of MTSS interventions and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Mentors and coaches teachers in implementing MTSS strategies effectively.
- Assists in the training of new staff on MTSS practices.
- Monitors data to assess the impact of MTSS interventions on student behavior and academic performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
- Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and restorative practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
- Experience in providing professional development and coaching.
Qualifications
- Experience in a school setting preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
