Multi Skilled Ultrasound Tech
About the Role
Performs both vascular and general diagnostic Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patients. Conducts vascular Ultrasound procedures under the direction of the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager and general Ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator. Applies independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to perform prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis without constant supervision of technical detail. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Registration in Vascular Technology by either accrediting body:
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RVT)
- Cardiac Credentialing International (RVS)
- Registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), holding at least one of the following upon hire:
- Abdomen (AB)
- Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
Both registries must be obtained within one year from hire.
- Diploma from an Ultrasound education program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.
Preferred
- Experience in both vascular and general ultrasound.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
