Responsibilities
- Perform various duties and routine technical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting patients under close supervision.
- Maintain patient and service rooms in clean, orderly condition according to established policies and procedures.
- Performs basic respiratory therapy procedures, chest x-rays, EKGs, and venipuncture.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations to perform functions of job such as patient identification, determine weight, and vital signs, etc.
- Four to six weeks on-the-job training to acquire the skills necessary to perform job functions.
- Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
- Require knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques.
