About the role

CBS O&O in Dallas (KTVT) is seeking a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist focused on content beyond linear television. This position emphasizes authentic storytelling with a specific focus on YouTube, creating longer-form content. The ideal candidate will understand YouTube strategies and be capable of producing content from start to finish, exercising creative control. The role requires a relatable on-air presence and the ability to deliver final news products creatively and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Create content for all platforms, with a primary focus on YouTube
• Shoot, write, and edit content independently
• Apply knowledge of graphic design to enhance storytelling
• Utilize multi-platform content distribution strategies
• Operate camera equipment, including setup on a tripod
• Light interview subjects effectively
• Use edit and graphics software with speed and accuracy
• Incorporate sound design within stories (preferred)

Requirements

• Journalism or allied degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (to operate a company vehicle)
• Engaged digitally with a strong understanding of digital content distribution
• Ability to carry and set up camera equipment
