Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a wide variety of machinery and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Spend much of their time troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
• Interpret drawings related to the installation and operation of machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Show in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, welding, rigging, and pipe fitting.
• Show a high mechanical aptitude.
• Observe all safety regulations and required PPE.
• Work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Be punctual and dependable, contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
• Have machine repair experience (preferred).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Licensed to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend, and work at heights.
• Experience as a Millwright Journeyman or 3 years equivalent experience.
• Pass an aptitude test administered by an outside party.

Qualifications

• Dependable job attendance is expected.

Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical power transmission, welding, rigging, and pipe fitting.
• A high mechanical aptitude.
• Observance of safety regulations and required PPE.
• Self-directed and capable of managing projects with little or no instruction.

Benefits

• $1,000 sign-on bonus.
• Base pay of $37.57 per hour.
• Night crew receives an additional $0.65 per hour shift differential.

Base Pay: $37.57 per hour. Night crew gets an additional $0.65 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

This position works a 12-hour shift; must be able to work any shift (day or night) on a 2-2-3 continuous operation work schedule which will include Saturdays and Sundays (2 on, 2 off, 3 on; on a repeating schedule).

Work Environment

The job is within a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment. Environmental conditions can be hot, cold, and noisy. Safety is our highest priority, and safety procedures/guidelines must be adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel-toed shoes.
