Multi-Site Service Technician - POD 4 (San Posada, San Valencia, San Hacienda)

About the role

We’re hiring a Multi-Site Service Technician at POD 4 (San Posada, San Valencia, San Hacienda) in Mesa & Chandler, AZ. In this role, you will help keep our POD 4 communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and contributing to the upkeep of the community, while providing the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard or inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Requirements

• Experience as an apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• General knowledge in troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair for remodeling projects.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete maintenance requests efficiently while delivering excellent resident service.
• Knowledge of building systems and service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay is available for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications (eligibility begins 90 days from hire; additional requirements may apply).
