About the role
The Multisite Leasing Consultant (Residential) thrives on variety and multitasking, overseeing two or more assigned properties. This role is ideal for a well-organized, customer-focused professional who coordinates all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals. You will work closely with a designated Property Manager and/or Leasing Manager to prioritize tasks and ensure maximum occupancy, resident retention, and client satisfaction through exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Generate and handle prospective resident leads, following up via phone, mail, or email daily.
- Convert prospective resident inquiries (phone, email, or text) into scheduled property tours.
- Qualify prospective residents and conduct property tours to lease apartment homes.
- Assist with resident applications and maintain accurate records of leads in the computer system.
- Prepare lease documents and move-in packets according to company policy.
- Update resident files and assist current residents with requests or concerns.
- Inspect apartments prior to move-ins, ensuring they are in market-ready condition by coordinating with the maintenance team.
- Orient prospective and current residents to the property.
- Conduct daily walks of apartment homes and exterior property/amenities to ensure market readiness and curb appeal standards.
- Process lease renewal paperwork and deliver documentation to residents per expiration schedule.
- Complete weekly leasing reports accurately and on time.
- Update market surveys and stay informed about competing communities through regular visits.
- Participate in corporate outreach and marketing programs.
- Enter resident service requests into the system, conduct follow-ups, and close tickets.
- Assist with planning and implementing resident activities to increase retention.
- Maintain ongoing resident relations by responding promptly and accurately to requests.
- Deliver notices to resident apartments as needed.
- Comply with all company policies, safety rules, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of sales or customer service experience preferred.
- One year of residential leasing experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or equivalent property management software preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle urgent matters efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to use general office equipment (telephone, fax, printer, copier, key track system).
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
