Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $26.00–27.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay is provided for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience working as an apartment turn technician, maintenance technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician
- Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
- One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, or similar) highly preferred
- Service orientation
- Basic computer skills
- A basic understanding of written and verbal English
Responsibilities
- Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs
- Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available
- Perform daily pool care, ensure the pool is in proper chemical balance, and address safety concerns
- Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
- Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct or report hazards to the Manager of Facilities and Service
- Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members; be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform/badge
- Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies
- Train and mentor other Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians
