We're seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to join our mission of creating the world's safest work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Global WHS Program implementation
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments
  • Analyze safety data and implement practical solutions
  • Build relationships and influence positive change
  • Manage first aid program and emergency response capabilities
  • Ensure immediate care is always available
  • Transform safety data into actionable insights
  • Engage associates in the safety mission
  • Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs
  • Travel 50-70% of the time and work various shifts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
  • 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies
  • Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
  • Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience; 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations; 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment; Master's degree or above; Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization; Experience leading the development of department strategy; Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities; Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing operations environment; Certified Safety Professional preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders; Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics; Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

Schedule

This position requires the flexibility to travel 50-70% of the time and work various shifts.
