About the Role

The Meat Clerk ensures that our customers’ needs are met and exceeded by delivering remarkable customer service and providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. This position supports the Meat department by performing tasks such as greeting and assisting customers with questions, promoting sales within the department, preparing, packaging, labeling, and merchandising products, maintaining department standards, and assisting with customer requests and special orders. The Meat Clerk handles all products in a safe, sanitary manner and keeps all areas and equipment of the department clean.

Responsibilities

• Deliver remarkable customer service and provide exceptional product knowledge.
• Greet and assist customers with questions.
• Promote sales within the Meat department.
• Prepare, package, label, and merchandise products.
• Maintain department standards and cleanliness.
• Assist with customer requests and special orders.
• Practice safe food handling procedures.
• Keep all areas and equipment of the department clean and sanitary.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Pay

Hiring pay range: $17.34 - $26.50 per hour.
