MULTI-PLATFORM PRODUCER (PRIMARY) KWTX

About the role

KWTX, the dominant CBS station in Central Texas, on all platforms, is seeking a producer who displays creativity and consistency in producing newscasts and digital programming.

The ideal candidate will have a desire to produce both on-air and digital content for our live streaming platform, KWTXtra.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Co-produce and booth newscasts as needed
• Co-produce and booth 4 pm show
• Schedule and book guest appearances
• Create social media and website posts
• Record and edit segments for broadcast
• Create original graphics and visual elements for on-air and digital platforms
• Produce live streaming and recorded content for KWTXtra
• Operate OTT and CTV equipment in the KWTXtra studio
• Serve as a host/anchor for CTV/OTT programming on KWTXtra

Qualifications/Requirements

• Some previous news experience
• Strong news judgment
• Planning skills that have you always seeking the next big topic
• Creative thinker with a desire to present information in new formats with engaging visuals
• Excellent writing, shooting, editing, and producing skills
• Able to multitask and be calm and decisive under pressure
• Degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Experience with Edius, ENPS, and Canva desired
