Multi-Needs Paraprofessional

About the role

We are seeking exceptional Multi-Needs Paraprofessional for our year-round day school located in Elgin, IL. Hours are 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday - Friday. The starting rate is $17.25/hr (with no Bachelor's degree) and $19.25/hr (with a Bachelor's degree).

Responsibilities

• Aid teachers with classwork and the daily care of students with special needs.
• Provide direct care, attend In-services and other educational functions as required.
• Keep equipment in classroom in clean condition and provide safe physical environments for all students.
• Document all goals/program which includes the daily participation records after completion of a task with a student.
• Work directly with the students one-on-one and in groups outlined in the IEP's.

Qualifications

• Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required. It can be obtained after being hired within 30 days, and we will offer a $500 bonus for getting it.
• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements.
