MISTAFF is a collaborative effort of the Michigan Association of Intermediate School Administrators, Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, Michigan Association of School Boards, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, and Michigan School Public Relations Association.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are critical in shaping the educational experiences of students and supporting school communities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with state and district standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive school environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by school leadership (e.g., committee work, extracurricular supervision).
Requirements
- Valid Michigan teaching certification or eligibility for alternative certification pathways.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required for most positions).
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with K-12 students in classroom or administrative settings (preferred for some roles).
