About the role

The Multi-Modality Technologist II provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
  • Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images.
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols.
  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Maintains MHS clinical competencies and regularly practices in each of the alternate imaging disciplines.
  • Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy.
  • Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.

Requirements

  • Accredited Program: Imaging (Required)
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS Cert - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • Education and Certification Requirements: Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in two (2) of the following within one (1) year of hire date: Computed Tomography (CT), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI).

Qualifications

  • Required Work Experience: A combination of three (3) years of technologist experience in advanced modalities in a hospital setting.
