Responsibilities
- Perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: Radiology, CT, MRI, or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties.
- Assist physicians in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines, demonstrating proficiency in performing procedures.
- Obtain accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history, answer patient questions, and explain procedures.
- Operate equipment within specifications, ensuring images meet technical quality assurance factors (e.g., image laterality marking and annotation).
- Utilize RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily workflow for the department’s activities.
- Maintain equipment in efficient operating order, perform and document required quality control testing, and contact service for repairs as directed.
- Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
- Participate in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff.
- Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in the assigned area.
- Maintain stock and inventory as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Associate's Degree (preferred).
- 10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR, or one (1) year general radiology experience (required).
- 2 years of experience in two or more modalities (preferred).
Qualifications
- Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and completion of an ARRT-accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program (required).
- Current and valid AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Licensure (required).
- Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT) License (required).
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
- If CT is a secondary modality: CTP (Computed Tomography preceptor license) and achieve ARRT CT registry and AZ CTCT licensure within 1 year (required).
- If MRI is a secondary modality: ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification/registry (required).
