About the role
The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist performs invasive and non-invasive procedures on a variety of patients per the needs of the modality/department. Responsibilities include utilizing sterile techniques, operating complex imaging equipment, and assisting physicians as necessary. This role functions without constant supervision to produce high-quality imaging studies and must work within a minimum of two qualifying modalities (Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, or Bone Densitometry) as directed by department managers/supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures in assigned modalities (Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Densitometry).
- Utilize sterile techniques when necessary.
- Operate complex imaging equipment and assist physicians.
- Maintain continuing education and learned skills for re-certification.
- Work independently to produce superior quality imaging studies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
- ARRT registered with post-primary certification in at least one additional qualifying discipline (or must obtain within specified timeframes: CT 6-9 months, Mammography 12 months, MRI 12-18 months).
- BLS certified.
- Previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.
