Multi-Modality CT Tech - Non-Registered

About the role

The Multi-Modality CT Technologist in a hospital setting is responsible for performing CT and diagnostic imaging exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. This position involves performing all radiology and CT exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Duties include assisting radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures, selecting proper protocols to obtain optimal images, providing clinical documentation, preparing equipment and instrumentation, and maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assists radiologists in performing CT imaging procedures.
• Selects proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provides clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Performs with a high degree of safety and quality, preventing or reducing harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors.
• Prepares equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care.
• Follows ALARA principles according to policy.
• Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Reports variances.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Makes effective assessments, actions, and documentation.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
• Show detail-oriented ability to multi-task, be organized, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CT experience (preferred).
• Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R) upon hire (required).
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Inc (NMTCB) - CNMT Registry upon hire (required).
• Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Computed Tomography (CT) within 2 years (required).
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) upon hire (required).

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Pay

Range: $34.40 - $47.30/Hourly
