About the role

At the direction of a radiologist and/or other providers, prepares patients, performs imaging procedures and operates imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives. Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic studies following established guidelines and protocols
• Apply appropriate radiation protection measures
• Adhere to organizational customer service standards
• Support organizational excellence initiatives
• Provide positive and effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff
• Perform ancillary services and assist in patient care areas as needed

Requirements

• One year of current clinical experience in each modality (preferred)
• Post‑high‑school completion of an ARRT‑accredited Radiologic Technology program (required)
• Additional 1‑2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare‑related field (preferred)
• ARRT registration and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer (required)
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) or approved equivalent (required within 90 days of hire)

Qualifications

Advanced Registered by the ARRT in the applicable modalities (Bone Densitometry, CT, Diagnostic, Mammography, and MRI) required within 18 months of hire or transfer.
