About the role

SEC Energy Products & Services L.P. is a full-service packaging, fabrication company, and distribution partner for leading manufacturers such as Ariel and Caterpillar. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including revamp of compressor packages, parts, field service, commissioning, shop overhaul, engineering and construction, and full turnkey installation. This position focuses on the repair and maintenance of gas compression equipment in the Odessa, Texas region and operates on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station equipment, plant facilities, and pipeline facilities, including prime movers, compressors, valves, filters, separators, dehydrators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment to ensure reliable and efficient production while complying with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work with employees and contractors to ensure safe, timely, and effective completion of tasks.
• Provide budgetary information, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate necessary resources.
• Interpret and utilize drawings, schematics, loading curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources to perform assigned work.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and portable/mobile work equipment in hazardous, classified, and non-hazardous environments.
• Utilize precision measurement equipment to determine dimensions and set operating equipment clearances and tolerances.
• Maintain equipment records, logs, inventory, and other documentation required by company procedures and regulatory agencies.
• Provide training and leadership to develop and maintain effective work crews, depending on the level hired.
• Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.), perform associated tasks, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain facilities, grounds, and work areas in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner.
• Actively participate in and provide leadership for safety programs and initiatives while adhering to policies and procedures.
• Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on a rotating basis.
• Comply with partnership safety policies and procedures, including energy isolation lock out/tag out (LOTO).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience levels:
  • Level C: 0 – 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Level B: 2 – 4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Level A/Lead: 4+ years of relevant industry experience or equivalent work experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a demonstrated safe driving record; ability to be certified as a USDOT driver under FMCSA may be required based on applicable law, reporting location, and geographic work area.
• Excellent organizational skills and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a group environment.
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3600 ADEM III and ADEM IV troubleshooting skills and major/minor maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and perform operation and maintenance tasks for various types of facilities and equipment.
• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook), and other computer-based systems for work training, time reporting, expense reporting, and online documentation.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions.
• Work may include confined spaces and require heavy lifting in excess of 75 lbs with or without assistance.
• Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may involve hazardous products, processes, materials, chemicals, extreme temperatures, loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators.
• Work on and around equipment and facilities requiring knowledge of and adherence to safe work procedures and practices.
• Subject to call-outs for operational issues and emergencies after hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays.
• Reliable attendance is required.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Must live within 45 minutes of the work location.
• Must maintain truck tool inventory while on rotation; truck must be kept clean and orderly.
