About the role

The Annex Group is seeking qualified individuals who are searching for careers, not just jobs, and can operate with a team-first approach. This position is responsible for onsite coordination and overview of a project, requiring significant experience in commercial construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule projects, including look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure the schedule is on track for projected delivery.
  • Schedule manpower daily, weekly, and monthly in accordance with the project master schedule.
  • Oversee documentation, quality control, and safety on the job site.
  • Control project costs through weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Receive, inventory, and manage all materials procured by the company.
  • Evaluate work in place or proposed budget estimates based on actual incurred output and historical analysis.
  • Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge and field acumen.
  • Ensure successful project delivery by meeting all owner/client needs.
  • Provide leadership through team building, communication, and mentorship of project-level subordinates.
  • Ensure an organized and tidy job site.
  • Schedule and ensure the success of building and site inspections.
  • Maintain good relationships with local officials.
  • Prepare and input daily reporting and photo documentation in Procore.

Requirements

  • Significant experience with at least 10 years as a manager of commercial construction activities in the field.
  • Multi-family market experience required.
  • Superior construction knowledge, scheduling expertise, and cost control procedures.
  • Ability to monitor and potentially control several projects at a time.
  • Working knowledge of email and MS Office.
  • Ability and willingness to use job-related technology tools.
  • Field experience is extremely valuable; a Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • OSHA, LEED, and other professional accreditations preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting within the work area.
  • Driving to/from locations for business-related purposes, including routine travel requiring air travel and overnight stays.
  • Walking, observing, and documenting activity in and around job sites.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced office environment with minimal to high noise levels.
  • Requires working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Daily verbal and face-to-face contact with others.
  • Frequent use of a computer and general office equipment.
  • Exposure to routine job site hazards; adherence to OSHA safety precautions required.
