Multi-Disciplinary Optimization Design Engineer (Gas Turbines)
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Multi-Disciplinary Optimization (MDO) Solutions Engineer, your day centers on developing and implementing advanced optimization solutions for large gas turbine systems. You work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex design challenges into efficient, automated workflows. You build and refine computational models, run simulations, and analyze results to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability. In parallel, you act as a key point of contact for MDO and HEEDS tools in the U.S., providing guidance, training, and support while driving adoption of modern engineering practices.
What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred; PhD a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in simulations, data analysis, and multidisciplinary engineering
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- 3-5+ years’ hands-on experience with programming (Python, C++ or similar), parametric CAD (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks), and engineering environments (Linux, GitLab); familiarity with MDO workflows and simulation-based optimization

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
