Job Summary

Develop and increase special market high-end player profitability by building strong professional relationships, actively acquiring new VIP business, encouraging club card utilization, and providing superior service and recognition.

Create The Extraordinary

  • Manage player accounts and comps based on recorded play, earned points, comp availability and patron profitability.
  • Identify, solicit and register high-end/special market players.
  • Aid premium/special market customers with reservations and acquisition of amenities and work closely with casino operations to ensure that high limit players are recognized and acknowledged.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of integrity/responsibility in handling Harrah’s Hoosier Park assets.
  • Maintain an appropriate working knowledge of Indiana State Gaming Regulations and established Harrah’s Hoosier Park policies and procedures.
  • Aid in the maintenance of players as required, including on and off property VIP special event coverage and other departmental needs.
  • Provide superior level of guest service and be available to meet and greet premium/special market customers while they are on property.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility throughout the facility during the majority of the shift.
  • Maintain an appropriate working knowledge of Indiana State Gaming Regulations and established Harrah’s Hoosier Park policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of property, product, promotions, and events.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift and long hours when necessary to including working evening, weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Need

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical data, financial reports, and internal controls.
  • Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, staff, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write letters and promotional materials for distribution or publication that conform to a prescribed style and format.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from two to four-year college; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Flexible with working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours if applicable.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
  • Responsible for fostering a fun environment.

  • Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.

  • Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to push/pull or lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handles, or feel and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
  • Will require access to all general areas of the gaming and racing facility, back-of-house areas and access to Patron Management data base and marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work in an environment where you are exposed to secondary smoke, occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and the noise level in the working environment is usually moderate.
