About the role

This position serves as a key member of the maintenance team at Dal-Tile, performing critical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other plant equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical wiring, control systems, and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, etc.) and electrical systems (480V, 3-phase, controls, PLCs).
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, and dusty industrial environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as required.
