Multi-Cloud Systems Engineer (AWS / Azure)

About the role

Join our team supporting a secure, enterprise-scale federal initiative for the Federal Trade Commission SNS program. As a Multi-Cloud Engineer, you will drive modern cloud architecture, implement automated infrastructure patterns, and ensure continuous security compliance across dynamic AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement reusable multi-cloud solutions and secure patterns using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Continuously monitor and enhance cyber posture using AWS Security Hub CSPM, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and Azure Defender.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity issues, including security groups, route tables, VPC allocations, VPNs, and peerings.
• Enforce regulatory compliance controls, security baselines, and governance guardrails (CIS benchmarks, STIGs) across AWS environments.
• Manage resource costs, budget anomalies, and reporting through proactive FinOps practices.
• Maintain big data analytics platforms and workload data tiers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep operations moving fluidly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 4+ years of experience (or Master's with 2+ years; relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree).
• Strong hands-on experience in cloud architecture using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of multi-cloud networking, security policies, and regulatory baselines.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with FinOps cost optimization and M365 enterprise productivity tools.
