Multi-Certed NDE Level II Technician - Houston, TX

About the role

The Multi-Certed NDE Level II Technician supports Intertek's Industry Services business by performing inspection activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specific job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTfi)
• Evaluation of the Radiographic Method
• Overall evaluation of radiographic film to applicable codes and standards acceptance criteria
• ASNT Level II testing & inspection in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT
• Equipment setup and calibration
• Interpretation and evaluation of results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• On-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDT Level I personnel
• Organizing and reporting test results
• Solving technical issues in the field
• Adopting an Intertek "Marketing and Sales" attitude in all client, vendor, employee, and outside contacts interactions
• Pursuing continuing technical education courses or seminars

Requirements

• ASNT Level II certification in Radiographic examination (Code Quality)
• ASNT Level II certification in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT
• Minimum of 3+ years field experience
• Valid State card
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
• TWIC Card
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a physical exam
• A mindset of safety first

Qualifications

• Qualified and certified as an ASNT Level II in Radiographic examination (Code Quality)
• Qualified and certified as an ASNT Level II in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT
• CR experience preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing
• The ability to solve technical issues in the field
• Rope Access certification a plus
