Advanced NDE Level II Technician - Texas City, TX

About the role

Intertek is seeking an Advanced NDE Level II Technician to join the Asset Integrity Management team at a client facility in Texas City, TX. The role requires certification as a PAUT Technician with prior Level II certification and experience.

Responsibilities

• Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds.
• Working knowledge of semi-automated and automated encoding required.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel.
• Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.

Requirements

• Minimum 5‑7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including Phased Array and AUT, with prior experience in MT & PT.
• Prior Level II certification; API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (preferred).
• Current TWIC card (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English.
• Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications.
• Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (RT, PMI, UTT, VT) preferred.
