Multi Brand Advisor I

About the Role

The Multi-Brand Advisor (MBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in focused brands under the Estee Lauder Companies (including color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting them in the selection and purchase of merchandise. This role supports the Experience Manager (EM) through a focus on performance (service/retail sales and in-store events), people (guest service and associate culture), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). The MBA represents the image, products, and culture of Ulta Beauty and the brands they support, including MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed focused MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder brand sales and clientele goals, contributing to the store’s overall retail and service sales targets, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales.
• Build the business by achieving sales targets, using product services, data capture, and loyalty programs to grow guest return rates.
• Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging every guest, personalizing service, offering samples, recommending complementary products/services, and informing guests of promotions and events.
• Build and maintain a customer list for MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder brand sales through superior service and consistent follow-up.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Stay informed about new and existing industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Maintain strong relationships with MAC, Clinique, and Estee Lauder brand partners through training and event participation.
• Address and resolve guest concerns according to Ulta Beauty’s philosophy and standards.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Attend seasonal seminars and participate in ongoing training for professional development and brand performance.
• Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintain store operational standards, including cleanliness, replenishment, and merchandising of assigned areas.
• Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by applicable state law.
• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
• Passion for and competency in sales, products, and service.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle guest concerns proactively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Working Conditions

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.
