Mulesoft Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive automated testing strategy for MuleSoft integrations.
• Build and maintain automated integration, API, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
• Identify gaps in existing test coverage and improve overall integration quality.
• Troubleshoot integration defects and perform root-cause analysis across Salesforce, MuleSoft, and downstream systems.
• Partner with Salesforce developers, MuleSoft developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure reliable deployments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to incorporate automated integration testing.
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and quality metrics for enterprise integrations.
• Document testing patterns and coverage so the broader team can maintain and extend the suite going forward.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing MuleSoft integrations.
• Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external applications, including familiarity with Salesforce API types and how Salesforce-side triggers/flows can affect integration timing and behavior.
• Experience managing test data and environments for integration testing, including Salesforce sandbox environments and simulating external dependencies.
• Experience building automated API and integration tests (e.g., MUnit, Postman/Newman, REST Assured, Karate, or similar frameworks).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, authentication (OAuth), and error handling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Ability to analyze complex cross-system issues and improve overall platform reliability.
