Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support microservices-based distributed systems in production environments
• Manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on reliability, resilience, and performance
• Implement and maintain API Gateway platforms (Azure APIM, Kong, IBM APIC) for traffic management, rate limiting, routing, and API observability
• Utilize observability tools to monitor logs, metrics, traces, and set up dashboards and alerting based on SLOs
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventative measures
• Apply SRE best practices, including error budgets, SLIs/SLOs, incident response, post-mortems, automation, and continuous improvement
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and improve system reliability through scalable architectures and elimination of toil
