MSW - Social Worker - Psych Services - PM Shifts

Job Description

To provide individuals, families and groups with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic, acute or terminal illnesses.

To provide services including advising family care givers, providing patient education and counseling, and making referrals for other services.

To provide care and case management or interventions designed to promote health, prevent disease and address barriers to access to healthcare.

To facilitate the discharge planning process and identify community resources to assist patients and their families.

To act as a clinical resource to both social service students and the community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required.
• Currently licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners required.
• If job is in UAB Hospital, successful completion of First Five Rapid Response Basics online training required within 30 days of hire into position and must be maintained annually.

Pay

Pay range: $50,050.00 - $81,330.00 / year
