MSW Clinical Internship

Description

• Assigned 6–8 individual therapy clients, one psychosocial evaluation, and one therapy group per week.
• Conducted all sessions and assessments with a licensed clinician present for ongoing supervision and weekly feedback.
• Received training in Brief Strategic Therapy at the beginning of the year, a modality that significantly informs clinical practice at the site.
• Most therapy sessions occur weekly, but some may be biweekly depending on the case.
• Expected to complete a progress note after each session meeting Medicaid documentation standards and emailing it to the supervising clinician by Friday.
• Collaborate with the supervising clinician on writing and formatting psychosocial assessment reports.
• Attend two supervision meetings every Friday: one with the full mental health team and another with fellow interns and the field supervisor.
