MSTR/Power BI/Tableau Lead role

About the Role

We are seeking a strong MicroStrategy (MSTR) developer with 8-10 years of experience to join a fast-paced, Agile, customer-facing team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, direction, and mentorship while delivering high-quality MSTR solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop MicroStrategy architecture, reports, dashboards, and mobile applications.
• Create and enhance MicroStrategy Report Service Documents, Dossiers, and complex dashboards.
• Develop MicroStrategy Transaction Services, visualizations, mobile dashboards, cubes, MDX reports, and MTDI solutions.
• Build multi-source dashboards using HANA, Snowflake, and other data platforms.
• Write and troubleshoot advanced SQL, including free-form SQL reports, stored procedure-based reports, and DataMart reports.
• Debug and resolve production issues, including complex data problems in backend databases (tables, views).
• Perform VLDB tuning and optimize MicroStrategy schema architecture and design.
• Develop dashboards in Tableau and Power BI as needed.
• Analyze business processes, gather and document customer requirements, and propose system solutions.
• Lead meetings to understand customer needs, assign tasks, and track team progress.
• Act as a liaison between business functions, technical teams, and customers.
• Mentor less experienced team members and provide guidance on best practices.
• Review and approve change requests (CRQs) and production releases.
• Participate in SOW reviews, project discussions, and governance activities.
• Support effort estimations and resource planning.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience with MicroStrategy development.
• Expertise in MicroStrategy Report Service Documents, Dossiers, and dashboards.
• Strong experience with MicroStrategy Mobile Applications and transaction services.
• Proficiency in VLDB tuning, schema architecture, and data modeling.
• Advanced SQL coding and data troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with MicroStrategy on SAP HANA, SAP BW Bex, Snowflake, and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Tableau and Power BI dashboard development.
• Ability to debug production issues and analyze business requirements.
• Leadership skills, including task assignment, mentoring, and team coordination.
• Strong communication skills for customer and stakeholder interactions.
