Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to serve as a MSP Helicopter Pilot.
Position Duties
- Operate helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft as per FAA regulations.
- Maintain and update flight logs and records.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and drills.
- Respond to emergency calls as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Twelve hundred (1200) helicopter or fixed wing flight hours as a FAA certificated pilot.
- Possession and maintenance of FAA 2nd Class Medical certification.
- Possession and maintenance of an acceptable Instrument Helicopter or Instrument Fixed Wing Rating as determined by FAA regulations.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid Maryland driver's license.
Selective Qualifications
- Substitution of military service experience for the required experience.
- Verification of flight hours through the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications
- FAA 2nd Class Medical certification.
- Instrument Helicopter or Instrument Fixed Wing Rating as determined by FAA regulations.
Special Requirements
- Initial drug screening and criminal background investigation.
- Call-in availability on a 24-hour basis.
- Susceptibility to substance abuse testing.
- Sign an Obligation Service Agreement.
