About the role
Saint John Paul II Catholic School seeks a Middle School (grades 6-8) Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a regular full-time position starting August 1, 2026, with the possibility of a part-time position being considered.
Responsibilities
- Support the mission of Catholic Education and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP)
- Teach Science to Middle School students (grades 6-8)
- Incorporate technology into classroom instruction
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to the IB program and Catholic education
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Middle Grades Science (5-9) or Science (6-12) Certification from the Florida Department of Education
- Passionate about teaching Science
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Background check and mandated training in Catechism and IB (provided by the school)

- Experience teaching middle school science
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
