About the role

Saint John Paul II Catholic School seeks a Middle School (grades 6-8) Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a regular full-time position starting August 1, 2026, with the possibility of a part-time position being considered.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of Catholic Education and the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP)
• Teach Science to Middle School students (grades 6-8)
• Incorporate technology into classroom instruction
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Participate in ongoing professional development related to the IB program and Catholic education

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Middle Grades Science (5-9) or Science (6-12) Certification from the Florida Department of Education
• Passionate about teaching Science
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Background check and mandated training in Catechism and IB (provided by the school)

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
