About the Facility
This two-building complex consists of an office building to house all agency service staff and a secure data center that houses the state of Mississippi’s critical digital and communication systems. The buildings are designed as complementary structures, each protecting the other.
The 74,000-square-foot office building is light and airy, serving as the agency’s administrative headquarters. It includes offices for service staff and a full training suite available for other state agencies.
The hardened data center provides in-state operations and backup capacity, ensuring redundancy for critical data, telecommunications, and network systems. Following FEMA and GSA guidelines for critical facilities, the building and site are engineered to withstand F4-level tornadoes, hurricanes with 200 mph winds, and terrorist attacks, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation of vital state data processing and voice systems.
