MS Assistant Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities

• Help each participant achieve a fundamental level of skill, an appreciation for the value of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
• Work with the head coach to guide individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity.
• Collaborate with the head coach to schedule a regular program of practice in season.
• Ensure the safety of the facility or area where the assigned activity is conducted while students are present, in coordination with other coaches.
• Enforce sportsmanship behavior at all times and establish penalties for breaches of standards, in collaboration with other coaches.
• Supervise students on all away trips, including motel and bus behavior, and ensure buses are cleaned up after each trip.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of coaching, training, and storage rooms.
• Assist in the recruitment of students for participation.
• Adhere to Washakie County School District No. 1 School Board and Activities Department policies and procedures.
• Obtain and stay current with all WHSAA (Wyoming High School Activities Association) information, rules, and regulations, as well as Washakie County School District No. 1 policies.
• Maintain a current First Aid/CPR certification.
• Ensure all required coaching certifications are kept up to date throughout employment.
