MS Assistant Football Coach

About the role

The MS Assistant Football Coach position at W.R. Tolar School within the Liberty County School District is responsible for supporting the head football coach in developing and implementing the team's offensive and defensive strategies. The coach will also assist in recruiting new players, working closely with the athletic director and other coaches.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of offensive and defensive strategies
• Recruit new players and maintain relationships with current players and their families
• Work closely with the athletic director and other coaches to ensure the success of the program
• Attend all home and away games and practices

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field
• At least two years of coaching experience at the high school level
• Experience with player development and recruitment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of high school football rules and regulations
• Experience with video analysis and scouting
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
