GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. We fabricate custom‑designed, purpose‑built enclosures and skids, performing mechanical and electrical integration in‑house to deliver true turn‑key products. Our scope spans engineering, prototype builds, and full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • MRO Inventory Ownership & Material Availability: Manage day‑to‑day inventory for maintenance, repair, and operating supplies—including spare parts, motors, bearings, belts, sensors, valves, electrical components, tools, PPE, lubricants, janitorial and facility materials. Establish and maintain min/max levels, reorder points, safety stock, and replenishment triggers; monitor consumption trends and adjust stocking strategies to prevent downtime.
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Program Management: Maintain on‑site VMI supplier programs for fasteners, consumables, vending systems, stocked bins, safety supplies, and other maintenance materials. Coordinate vendor visits, replenishment schedules, stocking cadence, and service levels; evaluate opportunities to expand VMI programs.
  • Storeroom, Warehouse & Inventory Accuracy: Ensure storeroom organization (labeling, bin locations, visual controls, cleanliness) and inventory discipline; investigate root causes of shrinkage, stockouts, overstock, and errors; maintain accurate ERP records, item masters, unit measures, and transactions.
  • Maintenance & Operations Partnership: Partner daily with Maintenance, Facilities, and Production leadership to understand equipment reliability needs, support planned shutdowns, preventive‑maintenance schedules, equipment installations, and emergency repairs; coordinate urgent part sourcing with the MRO Buyer and external suppliers.
  • Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordination: Track open purchase orders, expected receipts, late deliveries, and shortages; support supplier onboarding, item setup, and alternate sourcing for obsolete or constrained materials.
  • Continuous Improvement & Reliability Support: Identify recurring breakdown parts usage, partner with Maintenance on root‑cause solutions, support TPM, preventive maintenance, and reliability‑centered initiatives; participate in Root Cause Analysis using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and corrective‑action methods.
  • Metrics, Reporting & Performance Management: Track and report KPIs such as stockouts, inventory accuracy, fill rate, VMI performance, downtime caused by missing parts, spend trends, and inventory turns; enter data for dashboards and maintain records for audits and operational reviews.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain safe storage practices for chemicals, lubricants, electrical parts, and maintenance materials; ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and internal storage requirements; support proper handling and disposal of regulated materials.

Requirements

  • 1‑3+ years of experience in MRO inventory, storeroom management, maintenance purchasing, warehouse operations, or supply chain support.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or plant operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of spare parts management, inventory controls, and replenishment logic.
  • Excel and data analysis skills.
  • High sense of urgency, organization, and ownership mentality.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to work across Maintenance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting fabrication, welding, assembly, automation, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Background in Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), crib management, or industrial vending systems.
  • Knowledge of maintenance parts including motors, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and consumables.
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, APICS, or inventory‑management certifications a plus.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match (where applicable)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • Sick time in accordance with state and local requirements
  • Company‑paid life insurance and disability coverage
