About the role

Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Our new Miramar, FL site (opened November, 2025) is the center of excellence for our MRO operations in North America. As an MRO Quality Inspector, you will report to the MRO Quality Manager and work onsite in Miramar, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Receiving, Preliminary, Hidden Damage, In-Process, and Final Inspections as per RSMQCM procedures.
  • Assure compliance with FARs. Ensure calibrated equipment is current and the latest and/or appropriate technical data is used.
  • Serve as a quality liaison to support the organization.
  • Ascertain that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms are correctly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
  • Determine that no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy material(s) are installed in any component or articles released by the repair station.
  • Support and conduct periodic facility audits to ensure compliance with internal and external quality requirements.
  • Assist in planning and laying out inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable FAR, manufacturer’s recommendations, and customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalency required.
  • 3+ years FAA 145 MRO inspection experience.
  • A&P license or ability to qualify for Repairman license.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English as required by the FAA.
  • Qualified to use measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools, ERP systems, and other assorted software.
  • Ability to pass physical and DOT requirements, initially and continually.
  • Accessory, Avionics, Instrument, and Radio experience required with verifiable training records.
  • A&P license preferred or ability to meet Repairman Certificate requirements per Repair Station Ratings for Accessory, Instruments, and Radio.
