MRO Planner
About the role
The MRO Planner's primary role is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance workforce. They will plan maintenance and reliability jobs, ensuring minimal wrench time, optimal part usage, and effective skill set utilization.
Responsibilities
- Research and compile information from crafts to generate detailed job plans, including time estimates, tool requirements, and part and skill set needs. Maintain the job plan file database and be proficient in the CMMS. Initiate procurement of materials, special tools, and unique items required for the job plan.
- Review job plans post-job for accuracy. Transition capital improvement projects from project stage to operations by updating SAP to reflect changes in equipment, spare parts, and maintenance procedures. Work with the supply room to audit spare part inventory and manage inventory removal for equipment being sold or scrapped.
- Prepare and provide detailed job plans for preventative maintenance activities that adhere to plant maintenance procedures and practices. Continuously audit preventative maintenance schedules for accuracy and thoroughness using CI practices to address equipment failure modes with preventative maintenance.
- Plan and schedule maintenance downtime and collaborate with technical and management teams to minimize production impact and improve reliability.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance with 2+ years' experience in the craft or 5+ years' experience in the Industrial Maintenance craft.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Word & Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Continuous improvement experience like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of SAP system.
- Understanding of operating context of site assets/process systems.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis.
- Familiarity with Reliability Centered Maintenance.
- Working and practical knowledge of applicable PdM technologies such as: Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra-Red, Ultrasound, and Motor Circuit Evaluation.
Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory duties.
Work Environment
Primarily office environment, with requirement to work in various environmental conditions (-40-degree Freezers, 32-degree coolers, 40-degree production area, wet cold environment); noise, slippery floors, and moving equipment in operations setting.
Physical Demands
Position includes extensive standing, sitting, lifting, climbing ladders, wearing factory required equipment while working in production, walking, visual responsiveness, responding quickly to sounds, and driving.
