This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, located at a large manufacturing facility in Chester, VA. Some overtime may be required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain facilities and grounds.
- Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities, and process work assignments.
- Ensure all permits and licenses are maintained and up to date.
- Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with up to 2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Pay
The minimum salary for the MRO Coordinator role is $42,000 annually ($20.19 per hour) and the maximum salary is $52,000 annually ($25.00 per hour). The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
