MRO Business Analyst

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an MRO Business Analyst to join the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Business Operations Team in Grand Prairie, TX. In this role, you will provide internal and external customer support to simplify MRO business processes.

About the role

Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide WIP status, delivery dates, quotes/estimates, invoices/credits, technical inquiries, and logistical details. Support the coordination of pricing agreements for MRO activities and assist in planning and scheduling within Airbus Group and internal/external customers.

The role is based in Grand Prairie, a suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, where Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters employs over 1,000 people.

Responsibilities

• Performance Management and Data Analysis (40%)
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports using specialized domain knowledge and business expertise.
  • Build data sets based on business analytic indicators.
  • Maintain, update, revise, and establish new critical metrics.
  • Report meaningful metrics to various management levels on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Build and maintain reliable MRO productivity metrics.
  • Analyze profitability and MRO shop performance.
  • Analyze and generate WIP & backlog reports.
  • Support development and coordinate implementation of processes across all MRO departments.
  • Analyze flow-in/flow-out for various MRO activities in shops.
  • Identify problems impacting delivery, margins, or business consistency based on metrics and data.
• Forecasting / Workload Analysis (30%)
  • Develop a reliable and financial Operating Plan for all MRO cost centers.
  • Work with supporting functions to receive flight hour (FH) and customer forecasts.
  • Develop reliable forecasting and demand planning across the MRO organization.
  • Set metrics to measure forecasting and planning traceability and accuracy.
  • Develop workload capacity analysis for all MRO cost centers to balance workload or propose capacity adjustments.
  • Coordinate forecast flow between Airbus Helicopters, Inc. (AHI) and Airbus Helicopters Canada (AHCA).
  • Forecast rotable pool inventory.
  • Work with Repair Operations Lead to forecast external repairs.
  • Work with Planning Department to forecast new spare parts.
• MRO Support (30%)
  • Work closely with the Accounting Department to review and prepare period financial performance reports.
  • Collaborate with Program Management Offices & Transformation for Dashboard reports of Top Company Objectives (TCOs).
  • Build business cases as needed and recommend/implement cost savings actions (C3).
  • Develop and create presentations for management reviews.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Airbus Helicopters on various initiatives and projects.
• Additional Responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Report activity monthly through Office Suite or Google Workspace.
  • Identify gaps within current processes and recommend improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or comparable experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience/internship in business analysis, financial analysis, or business planning, or 2 years of professional-level work experience in an aviation company.
• Authorized to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship.
• 0–10% domestic and international travel involved.
• Strong organizational and operational improvement skills.
• Consistent record of working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Strong communication skills in verbal and written English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree (e.g., MBA).
• Strong accounting background, including cost accounting.
• Experience in creating business cases for strategic decision-making.
• Able to communicate productively in verbal and written French and/or German.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with Skywise.

Physical Requirements

• Onsite: 90%–100%.
• Vision: Able to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
• Hearing: Able to hear conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, and hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
• Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings.
• Equipment Operation: Able to operate personal computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and related office equipment, as well as some production tools.
• Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
• Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
• Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment/tools minimally.
• Sitting: Able to sit for long periods during meetings or while working on a computer daily.
• Squatting/Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving.
• Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor regularly.
• Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice (minimal).
• Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces, regularly.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site or customer site.
