About the role
The MRN Office Manager will manage a variety of administrative tasks and functions to ensure efficient operations of MRN's non-research activities, reporting to the Director of MRN Operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, symposia, and other events.
- Maintain financial records, including overseeing petty cash.
- Work with and assist other MRN and LBRI internal departments on a variety of administrative tasks.
- Oversee the purchase and maintenance of general office supplies.
- Provide back-up to front desk operations.
- Supervise MRN reception/front desk employees.
- Identify staffing needs and available expertise, provide leadership and mentoring to all department staff.
- Direct the recruiting and selection process for all departmental positions.
- Work with the Human Resources Department on performance evaluations, training, and development of staff.
- Perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of directly-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous personnel supervision.
- Demonstrated prior experience working in an office environment as an Office Manager, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.

- Professional-level computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment. Duties include operating standard office equipment and frequently standing, walking, sitting, performing desk-based computer tasks, using a telephone, performing repetitive motions, and occasionally lifting objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
