MRI Virtual Tech Assistant - Full-Time (Evenings)
About the role
The MRI Imaging Assistant (MRTA), working under the supervision of registered MRI technologists, supports a range of magnetic resonance procedures. This role ensures patient safety and that all services are delivered in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Affixes patient identification tags and prepares patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures.
- Monitors patients during MRI procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Assists with patient preparation, including positioning and explaining the procedure to patients.
- Maintains efficient workflow while the technologist performs imaging remotely.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience required.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.

Pay
Competitive compensation package that includes base pay.
