About the role
This role involves performing MRI exams while maintaining ARRT or ARMRIT certification, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to department protocols.
Responsibilities
- Proper patient identification, preparation, and education to ensure comfort and safety.
- Operating MRI equipment, reviewing image quality, and maintaining safety standards.
- Assisting and instructing students and colleagues in exam procedures and protocols.
- Completing accurate documentation, managing equipment, and following quality control procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification; BLS certification required.
- 1-2 years of MRI technologist experience in a trauma hospital preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, image evaluation, equipment operation, and MRI safety.
- Strong communication, teamwork, task prioritization, and independent work skills.
Physical requirements
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and assist patients.
- Prolonged standing or stationary positions.
