Position Summary
The MRI Team Lead is responsible for supervising day-to-day MRI department workflow, supporting technologists, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with radiologists and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily MRI department operations during day shift hours
- Lead MRI technologists and support staff to maintain workflow efficiency
- Ensure compliance with MRI safety standards, accreditation requirements, and departmental policies
- Aid with scheduling, staffing, training, onboarding, and performance support
- Perform high-quality MRI procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues in collaboration with service vendors and leadership
- Monitor image quality and ensure adherence to established protocols
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction goals
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and referring providers to optimize patient care
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an MRI Technologist
Educational Requirements
- Must have a minimum associate's degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
Licenses/Certifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire.
