MRI Technologist PRN

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Menorah Medical Center, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

About the role

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to the referring physician.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
• Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary
• Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions
• Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• On-call required; must be able to report to the facility within one hour of callback

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
• Current registration/licensure/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (required)
• Current certification in MRI (preferred). If not currently registered in MRI, must become MRI registered within six months of hire date
• BLS required upon hire
• Prior experience in a similar-sized facility with similar services preferred
